Warhammer 40K Doubles in Support of Onewarmcoat.org

Saturday December 1

Register here:

https://www.bestcoastpairings.com/event/ZzsS7mU73SBx

Its the holidays and its getting chilly out! Why not cuddle up with a buddy (cuddling optional) while playing a tournament for a good cause? Share the warmth by providing a coat for onewarmcoat.org.

One Warm Coat’s mission is to provide free coats to children and adults in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental sustainability.

TO ENTER:

Each team member donate a coat. Prefer new coats, but used coats okay if gently used… however must be clean: no stains or holes!

ARMY CONSTRUCTION:

A team is composed of 2 separate 1000 point rosters, each 1000pt roster is constructed as per 10th edition rules. The newest Balance Dataslate is in effect. Both rosters will combine to create a single army for all purposes.

SCORING:

Battle points earned by each team member are combined based on Mission Primaries and Tactical Secondaries. Team captain will input the teams combined battle points into BCP at the end of each round.

AWARDS:

Best Generals: This team has the highest total battle score.

Best Theme: The team with the coolest faction combo. Army could be painted to match, or elements that make the two halves of the team more cohesive.

Iconic characters from across the Star Wars galaxy clash in this new miniatures skirmish game! Star Wars: Shatterpoint invites players to collect, assemble, and paint their own squads of heroes, villains, and their allies and pit them against one another in tense duels to control key battlefield objectives.

The event will follow Shatterpoint Premier Showdown event.

Strike Team Selection During a Premier Showdown event, players do not submit a single strike team, as normal. Instead, players submit a Premier List of four separate squads and one Mission Set that they will use to build their strike team at the start of each game. Each squad must meet the normal squad building restrictions as detailed in the Shatterpoint Core Rules book, which can be found at AtomicMassGames.com/ shatterpoint. Additionally, when building their Premier List, players may not include a Unit that shares the same Unique Name or Unit Name with another Unit already in their Premier List and must apply all special rules applicable to building a strike team across all four of their squads.

Suzi Recommends

Rick and Morty Comics

Based off the popular Rick and Morty animated sitcom, Rick and Morty comics are a fun filled, dimension hopping adventure. And Suzi does the art and covers for some of them! She is so excited about this Dragon Ball inspired cover.

Brandon Recommends

Warhammer Skaventide

Anyone who knows Brandon knows he loves Warhammer! Make sure to ask him about the new Skaventide armies. The Skaventide is sweeping across the Mortal Realms – and the faithful Stormcast Eternals of the Hallowed Knights are first into the fray.

Dan Recommends

Indie RPGs

There are many Independent RPGs. One of Dan’s favorites is Lancer…it has robots!

Celeste Recommends

Heroquest

HeroQuest is Milton Bradley’s approach to a Dungeons & Dragons-style adventure game. One player acts as game master, revealing the maze-like dungeon piecemeal as the players wander. Up to four other players take on a character (wizard, elf, dwarf, or barbarian) and venture forth into dungeons on fantasy quests. Plastic miniatures and 3-D furniture make this game very approachable…and Celeste LOVES the tiny furniture!

Written by horror novelist Joe Hill (Horns, NOSA42, Heart-Shaped Box) with art by Gabriel Rodriguez” Also a TV series on NETFLIX!

Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san

Ever wonder what it’s like to work in a bookstore? This manga is probably one of the closest comedy examples that Ev can think of! Only 4 volumes long, it’s the perfect read if you’re looking for something both funny and informational. (There’s even a short anime adaptation, Ev recommends that too)

Erin Recommends

Sgt Rock VS the Army of the Dead/DC Comics

There’s many reasons to read this book but the main reason is that it’s written by the Pizza Papa himself, Bruce Campbell. Follow Sgt Rock on a journey of zombie nazi butt kicking.

Universal Monsters Horrified!

As a long time Universal Monsters enthusiast, I wanted to share my love for the HORRIFIED board games! The original is inspired by the classic creatures we know and fear including Dracula, the Frankenstein monsters, the Wolf man, the Invisible Man, the Mummy, and the Creature From the Black Lagoon.

Each game lets you dive into the world of iconic horror, packed with strategy, teamwork, and a whole lot nostalgia for Universal Monsters fans like me! Perfect for game nights, especially as the spooky season rolls in! Now with three other versions: American Monsters, Greek Monsters, and the newest World of Monsters!
